Every now and again, a motorcycle comes into stock that really catches our attention, and this beautiful 2013 Harley-Davidson Road King 110th Anniversary Edition is certainly one of them!

Now, before anyone gets too worried about the mileage, hear us out! At 70,638 miles, this Harley has certainly seen a few adventures, but when you see the condition of the bike and the extensive service history accompanying it, you’ll understand why we’re so impressed.

This really is a lovely example of a very special Harley-Davidson!

A LITTLE BIT OF HARLEY-DAVIDSON HISTORY

2013 marked a significant milestone for Harley-Davidson, celebrating an incredible 110 years of motorcycle manufacturing since the company was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, back in 1903.

To commemorate the occasion, Harley-Davidson produced a limited number of special anniversary motorcycles, featuring exclusive paintwork, commemorative bronze detailing and individually numbered production plaques.

Only 1,750 examples of the 110th Anniversary Road King were produced worldwide, with this particular motorcycle proudly displaying number 0851/1750.

Finished in the stunning Anniversary Vintage Bronze and Vintage Black colour scheme, complete with beautiful bronze tank emblems, anniversary engine detailing and black-and-chrome 28-spoke wheels, it really is a gorgeous-looking machine.

The Road King itself has been a Harley-Davidson favourite since 1994, combining traditional American touring styling with modern-day comfort and practicality.

Powered by the legendary 1690cc Twin Cam 103 V-Twin engine, coupled to a six-speed Cruise Drive gearbox, it delivers that wonderful low-down torque, relaxed cruising ability and unmistakable Harley-Davidson character.

This particular example is also fitted with a lovely set of Vance & Hines exhaust pipes, giving that big Twin Cam V-Twin an even more distinctive Harley-Davidson soundtrack!

With its generous touring windscreen, comfortable two-tone seat, colour-coded hard panniers, passenger backrest and rear luggage rack, this Road King is beautifully equipped for covering some serious miles.

EXTENSIVE SERVICE HISTORY

Now, this is where this motorcycle really stands out!

Accompanying the bike is an impressive collection of Harley-Davidson main-dealer service invoices, documenting years of regular maintenance and additional mechanical work.

• July 2013 – 5,341 miles: 5,000-mile service and screen fitment – £477.83
• March 2014 – 9,649 miles: 10,000-mile service and brake fluid change – £330.94
• February 2015 – 14,789 miles: 15,000-mile service and tyre replacement
• August 2015 – 20,368 miles: 20,000-mile service, brake fluid and tyre replacement – £526.76
• June 2016 – 26,035 miles: 25,000-mile service and additional engine breather work – £456.31
• March 2017 – 31,600 miles: 30,000-mile service and MOT – £395.03
• March 2018 – 38,923 miles: 40,000-mile service, battery, rear wheel bearings and cush drive rubber – £789.05
• August 2018 – 45,123 miles: 45,000-mile service – £101.57
• August 2019 – 51,238 miles: 50,000-mile service, steering head bearings and fork seals
• July 2022 – 61,331 miles: 60,000-mile service, oils, filters and spark plugs

FEBRUARY 2025 – TOP-END ENGINE REBUILD – £1,438.87

Perhaps the most important piece of paperwork is an invoice dated 20th February 2025, confirming that the motorcycle underwent a substantial top-end engine rebuild at V-Twin in East Sussex.

The work included new +0.020 oversize KB pistons, cylinder reboring, replacement top-end gaskets, fresh engine oil and filter, new spark plugs and associated components.

The total bill came to £1,438.87, and we have the invoice to confirm the work carried out.

Further maintenance in August 2026 included new Dunlop tyres, replacement front brake discs, Brembo front brake pads and EBC rear brake pads.

RECENT SERVICE – APPROXIMATELY 500 MILES AGO

The previous owner has also confirmed that they personally carried out a further service on the motorcycle approximately 500 miles ago.

So, not only does this Road King benefit from an extensive collection of Harley-Davidson service invoices and a documented engine rebuild, it’s also been serviced very recently!

It’s refreshing to find a higher-mileage motorcycle accompanied by such a comprehensive maintenance history.

CONDITION – JUST LOOK AT THE PHOTOGRAPHS!

Considering this Road King is now 13 years old and has covered over 70,000 miles, the overall condition is genuinely superb!

The gorgeous anniversary paintwork presents beautifully, the commemorative detailing looks fantastic and the chrome generally remains in excellent condition.

Naturally, we’re not going to pretend it’s absolutely immaculate. There is some localised chrome peeling on the front wheel, which we’ve photographed, together with the minor signs of use you’d expect from a motorcycle of this age and mileage.

But realistically, the rest of the bike presents remarkably well, and it’s quite obvious that this Harley has been cherished throughout its life.

We’d much rather have a higher-mileage motorcycle with a mountain of service paperwork and evidence of money being spent on it than a lower-mileage example with little or no maintenance history!

These motorcycles were built to be ridden and enjoyed, after all!

OUR VERDICT

We genuinely think this is an awful lot of Harley-Davidson for the money!

A beautiful, individually numbered 110th Anniversary Road King, with fantastic classic styling, a lovely set of Vance & Hines pipes, extensive documented servicing, a substantial engine rebuild carried out in 2025 and a further service completed by the previous owner approximately 500 miles ago.

Yes, it’s covered 70,638 miles, but the condition and history speak for themselves.

Somebody is going to get themselves a superb motorcycle here, and at just £7,495, we think it represents fantastic value for money!
