Here we have an absolutely stunning Yamaha XVS1300 Stryker, known here in the UK as the Yamaha XVS1300 Custom — a big-capacity factory custom cruiser with proper presence, beautiful lines and unmistakable American-inspired attitude.

The Stryker was Yamaha’s take on the long, low, factory-built custom cruiser. First seen in the Star/Yamaha cruiser range in the USA, it used the proven 1,304cc liquid-cooled V-twin from the V Star/XVS1300 family, but wrapped it in a far more aggressive chopper-style package with a stretched-out stance, raked front end and big rear tyre. It sat neatly between Yamaha’s smaller V-Star cruisers and the larger Raider-style machines, offering genuine big-bike feel without becoming too bulky or intimidating.

When it arrived in the UK as the XVS1300 Custom, it brought the same factory-custom formula: a 1304cc SOHC V-twin, strong low-down torque, belt drive, low seat height and that distinctive 21-inch front wheel / wide rear tyre cruiser stance. Period UK reviews listed the model at around 71 bhp, 76 lb-ft of torque, 293 kg wet weight and a 670 mm seat height, giving it the classic low-slung cruiser feel with Yamaha reliability and build quality.

This particular example is a real beauty. It is a 1-owner bike from new, freshly imported directly from Florida, and has clearly lived the right life. Being a Florida bike, it has avoided the usual harsh UK winter use, and it has been garage kept, which really shows in the overall condition.
