KEY INFORMATION
2019 Kawasaki VN1700 Vulcan Vaquero ABS – 1 Owner Florida Bike – 22,741 Miles – £11,995
Stunning Metallic Black & Gold Vaquero | Freedom Pipes | Roaring Toyz Intake | Excellent Condition Throughout
Here we have a superb 2019 Kawasaki VN1700 Vulcan Vaquero ABS, a genuine 1-owner motorcycle from new with just 22,741 miles. This bike was purchased over in Tampa, Florida, directly from its original owner, and it is a fantastic example of Kawasaki’s big American-style factory bagger.
Finished in a stunning metallic black paintwork with gold factory-style decals, this Vaquero has real presence. The colour combination suits the bike perfectly, giving it a deep, premium, custom look while still retaining the strong, muscular styling Kawasaki intended for the model.
The original owner clearly cherished this motorcycle. It was kept in his climate-controlled garage and was also recently serviced just before we purchased it. Since arriving with us, we have ridden the bike around 15 miles, and it rides exactly as it should — smooth, planted, comfortable and full of that effortless big V-twin torque.
Background & History of the Kawasaki VN1700 Vaquero
The Kawasaki Vaquero was introduced as part of Kawasaki’s heavyweight Vulcan 1700 family, a range designed to give riders the feel, torque and comfort of a large-capacity V-twin cruiser, but with Kawasaki’s engineering reliability and refinement. The Vaquero arrived as Kawasaki’s answer to the factory “bagger” trend — low, long, stylish, with hard panniers, a frame-mounted fairing and a stripped-back touring profile.
The Vaquero shares its roots with the full-dress Vulcan 1700 Voyager, but with a lower, cleaner and more custom-inspired look. Instead of a full top box and touring screen setup, the Vaquero gives you the aggressive bagger stance: large front fairing, colour-coded hard panniers, blacked-out details, long flowing bodywork and a relaxed open riding position.
In the UK, these bikes were known as the Kawasaki VN1700 Voyager Custom. They were a rare sight here, and 2014 was the last year the Voyager Custom models were officially available to purchase in the UK, making this later 2019 ABS Vaquero a very desirable USA-sourced example for the UK market. The 2019 Vaquero retained the proven 1,700cc 52-degree liquid-cooled V-twin, 6-speed overdrive gearbox, carbon-fibre reinforced belt drive, electronic cruise control, frame-mounted fairing, hard panniers, audio system and Kawasaki’s advanced ABS braking package.
1,700cc V-Twin Power & Long-Distance Comfort
At the heart of the Vaquero is Kawasaki’s superb 1,700cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine, built for relaxed torque rather than high-revving drama. It produces its power in a smooth, muscular and very usable way, making it ideal for motorway cruising, two-up riding and long-distance touring.
The 6-speed transmission with overdrive keeps the revs settled at higher speeds, while the belt drive offers a smooth, quiet and low-maintenance final drive setup. Kawasaki also equipped the Vaquero with electronic cruise control, a very welcome feature on longer journeys, and the bike’s broad seat, floorboards and relaxed riding triangle make it a genuine mile-eater.
Freedom Pipes & Roaring Toyz Straight Eight Air Cleaner Kit
This example has been upgraded with Freedom pipes, giving the big 1700 V-twin a deeper, more purposeful tone without taking away from the refined touring character of the bike.
It is also fitted with the very desirable Roaring Toyz Straight Eight Air Cleaner Kit. This is not just a cosmetic upgrade — it gives the engine a more open, high-flow intake setup and perfectly complements the freer-flowing exhaust system. In simple terms, the engine can breathe more freely on the intake side while the Freedom pipes allow it to exhale more efficiently. Together, they create a stronger custom look, a more responsive feel and a far more characterful V-twin soundtrack. Roaring Toyz states that the Straight Eight kit uses a K&N performance air filter and is designed to improve power while enhancing the appearance of the Vulcan 1700/Vaquero models.
Michelin Commander Tyres & Excellent Equipment
The bike is fitted with matching Michelin Commander tyres, a quality tyre choice for a heavyweight cruiser/tourer. These suit the character of the Vaquero perfectly, offering a confident feel, good touring capability and a premium look.
It also benefits from a quick-release and lockable passenger backrest, making the bike much more comfortable and secure for pillion use. This is a very practical addition, as it can be removed quickly when you want the cleaner solo bagger look, then locked back into place when carrying a passenger.

Why This Bike Stands Out
This is not a tired multi-owner touring bike. This is a 1-owner 2019 ABS model, purchased directly from the original owner in Tampa, Florida, kept in a climate-controlled garage, recently serviced before purchase, and tastefully upgraded with the right parts.
The combination of the Freedom pipes, Roaring Toyz Straight Eight intake, Michelin Commander tyres, lockable quick-release backrest, low-ownership history and excellent condition makes this a very attractive example of Kawasaki’s big 1700cc factory bagger.
For anyone wanting an American-style cruiser with Japanese reliability, touring comfort and genuine road presence, this Vaquero is a superb choice.
