2012 Honda VT750 Shadow Spirit – SN313
UK Registration: HD61 NFY
We are great fans here of Honda’s Shadow range of bikes especially the Spirit model and particularly the 2012 as it is now restyled with 21″ front rim plus Fuel Injection and new factory colours including this stunning Candy flamed Orange.
I purchased this bike from the original owner in Port St Lucie in Florida on my last trip he added quality Viking lockable side panniers, a detachable windshield plus an expensive and nearly new Mustang ZR-1 “gunslinger” style seat to the bike and always kept it garaged.
The bike is in exemplorary condition and has just under 8000 miles on the clock.
Sounds fantastic (see the video) with its added Cobra pipes.
It has just passed its MOT with zero advisories and a not from the inspector of how nice the bike is.
So an independant overview below:
2012 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 C2 (VT750C2) Review
Big-Bike Looks, Distinctive Styling
Shadow Spirit 750 C2, The Spirited Cruiser.
Here’s a machine that’s perfect for cruising city streets as well as exploring back-country roads-the 2012 Honda Shadow® Spirit 750 C2. Honda has brought together a big-bike look, distinctive street-rod styling and a muscular V-twin engine-now including the sophistication and metering precision of Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI). And it all comes wrapped up in a surprisingly affordable package.
New for 2012
– New Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) incorporates a single 34mm-diameter throttle body.
– New Candy Orange Flame color joins Black.
The power that lurks in the Shadows.
There’s nothing like a V-twin when it comes to cruising. And the Shadow Spirit gets one of our best: a 745cc powerplant that provides plenty of torque and a wide, user-friendly powerband.
How low can you go?
The Spirit features a low seat height, and the V-twin’s narrow construction makes it feel even lower. That’s good news at stoplights or in parking lots.
Strong, silent type.
The Spirit’s durable and virtually maintenance-free shaft final drive ensures smooth, dependable power delivery to the asphalt. No hassles, no grease flying everywhere. Just smooth, quiet power transfer.
Don’t be fuelish.
One of the best things about the Shadow Spirit? It gets awesome fuel economy. How good? How about an estimated 56 miles per gallon*? Now that’s Honda smart!
*Honda’s fuel economy estimates are based on EPA exhaust emission measurement test procedures and are intended for comparison purposes only. Your actual mileage will vary depending on how you ride, how you maintain your vehicle, weather, road conditions, tire pressure, installation of accessories, cargo, rider and passenger weight, and other factors.
Best of all, it’s a Honda.
Riders rave about how well the Spirit handles, how comfortable it is to ride, how practical it is to commute on, and just how much fun they have on one. And that’s exactly what our engineers want to hear. Because we’ve built the Spirit to be an all-inclusive bike, and reached deep into our bag of technology to make it happen.
