2008 Big Dog Ridgeback – SN316
UK Registration: HC57 AJY
Well if you are wanting to make a statement this summer then this 117 cubic inch Big Dog Chopper will certainly achieve that!
These Big Dog Choppers came straight out of the factory looking just like this (although this one has had custom paint/decals). The company was founded in 1995 by a guy called Sheldon Coleman Jr who In 1994, started working in his garage to modify Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Big Dog produced a single motorcycle in its first year, affectionately known as “Old Smokey”; its oversized fenders and classic cruiser style would point the way for all of the company’s later products. When the company was started, it initially produced its motorcycles largely from Harley-Davidson parts.
We purchased this bike in particular off the second owner over in Fort Myers, Florida as he didn’t ride it much anymore and it just sat undercover in his garage for the most part.
The colour was originally black but considering how outrageous the bike is we decided to change up the paint/decals in order to make it stand out even more. Finished in McLaren’s ‘Mauvine Blue’ or purple as we know it and topped off with orange decals to set the tone.
The bike has had new tyres front and rear with the rear being a 330 so fairly large shall we say!
A new Moto-Gadget electrical system has been fitted by our auto electrician meaning we have been able to convert the lights for the UK roads and run the rest of the electrics through using the same system.
This may not be the bike you want to tour Europe on but it certainly will be the bike that will break necks and drop jaws at your local bike show, if you check the video you’ll see it isn’t quiet either!
Ready to ride this summer, the first person to view it will certainly be riding it away!
